Another year has passed and as the calendar flips to August 2nd I’m reminded that no matter what I tell myself, I’m not immortal. Â Today’s my 36th birthday. Â I’m once again blown away at the number of people that have gone out of their way today on Facebook, Twitter and in person to wish me a happy birthday… thank you all! Â Last year, I wrote this post reflecting on my 35th birthday and I’ve realized that I’ve looked back on that post several times over the past year. Â That said, I figured I’d give it another shot this year.
Lots has changed over the last year.  I’ve made some great new friends (primarily via networking and Twitter), fallen out of touch with a others, cut lots of my hair off (which is graying and falling out naturally), dealt with a few ups and downs professionally and generally had a great time doing it all.
One thing hasn’t changed… my love and devotion to these people.
It doesn’t matter how dressed up I get, I’m always out shined by my H.  She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me and while I don’t say it all that often I’m so thankful to have her.  I say it every year and I’ll say it again… I was put on this Earth one day before her cause I knew she was coming.  Happy early birthday Baby Doll.  Love you.
The boys… these guys have had an interesting year to say the least. Â I picked these two photos to include, but let me assure you there were a TON more that I could have slid into these slots. Â And they’ve ALL got a story behind them.
These minor setbacks aside, the boys are absolutely awesome. Â Sure, we may be going on the 4th year of the “terrible twos”, they may fight like brothers are known to do and we’ve seen more than our fair share of stitches and doctor’s offices, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Â These guys ARE the reason that I do everything that I do. Â Love you guys.
Constant entertainment and a constant reminder of why I’m here. Â These guys are everything to me and we have SO much fun with them.
