With a heavy heart, I say goodbye to my grandmother, affectionately known as Baci. I was lucky to have such a wonderful woman in my life for so long. Love you Bac.
Pearl M. Bellan 99 of Olyphant and formerly of Peckville died on February 13th at home under Hospice care following a lengthy illness. Â She was the widow of Edward Bellan who died in 1982. Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Wiorkowski. Â She attended Scott Township schools and was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth (Betty)Bliss and a brother Alfonce Wiorkowski.
She was an avid gardener, great cook, baseball fan, loved music and caring for others. Â She was a long time parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Peckville.
She’s was a loving Mother to surviving daughters Loretta Thomas, Olyphant ), Mary Ann (Daniel) Â Corazzi, Doylestown, PA Â and son Edward J. Bellan (Donna), Novelty,Ohio. Â Additional survivors include 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Peckville on Saturday, February 25th at 10:00 a.m.  Friends may pay their respects, at the church, from 9:15AM to 10:00 AM. Following, the mass, internment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Scott Township.
The family appreciates the professional and loving care of both the Compassionate Care Hospice staff and Dr. Wayne Weston and his staff. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 429 South Main Street, Suite 10, Old Forge, Pa. Â 18518.
